10 Facts About Me

Hey, Guys!

I'm just going to dive straight in, so here you go!
Ten facts about me!

(My handsome boyfriend and I.)

1. Though most people look at me and mistake me for a young kid, I am actually legally an adult!

2.  I didn't always want to do hair. I was planning on either going into forensic/detective work or doing photography up until I visited a Sally's Beauty Supply one day and basically had an epiphany while I was shopping there that I wanted to do hair. haha

3.  I know sign language.

4.  I love rollercoasters. My favorite rollercoaster is Expedition Everest at Walt Disney World.

5.  One of my favorite tv series to watch is The Walking Dead.

6.  I enjoy playing video games with my darling boyfriend.

7.  I have only one pet, a guinea pig. She is the smartest and sweetest little piggie on the planet.

8.  I absolutely love doing any type of craft or DIY project. I do a lot of building and refurbishing furniture for a local shabby chic/ rustic furniture shop.

9.  My favorite colors are any shade of blue and purple.

10.  I get irrationally excited when I go to health or whole food stores. I enjoy eating a natural, healthy based lifestyle!

Thank you for getting to know me a little bit better! Until next time!

Braided Crown Tutorial

Hello, Everyone!  In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to create a simple, yet beautiful braided crown that is perfect for any occasion! Thanks, @hfurr1 for requesting this style!

Step One.  Start out with your hair down. It can pretty much work on all hair types, whether curly or straight, so no heat is essential for this style!

Step Two.  Section your hair in half and brush forward to create pigtails, securing with a rubber band.

Step Three.  Braid both pigtails and secure with a rubber band.

Step Four.  Remove the top rubber bands that you put in first, but not the ones holding the braid together.

Step Five.  Simply bring one braid over the top of your head and pin it into place. Repeat with the other braid, like shown in the picture below.  (Depending on the length of your hair, you may be able to wrap each braid around your whole head for a more "crown" effect, but for my length, however, they only reach to about my ears.)

Step Six. "Pancake" or tug at your braid to make it look fuller and thicker. Grab a few pieces of hair in the front to frame your face.

That's it! Let me know what you think and if you try it out for yourself! Don't forget to send me your requests and follow me on Instagram and Twitter for more hair posts! Bye for now!
